Inaugural Century 21 Pickleball Tournament sees sellout in all divisions of play

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The first Century 21 Pickleball Tournament was a success, with every division sold out and players coming to Hannibal from around the area.

In a press release, Angela Broughton Peters, one of the organizers, said, “We were thrilled with how well this first year went. Everyone had so much fun, and we plan to make it an annual event.”

The tournament was held in Huckleberry Park. It raised almost $4,000 for the United Way of the Mark Twain Area and Adams County.

Divisions and winners were:

  • Beginner Doubles: first, Stacie and Drake Robertson; second, Angela and Ben Thompson; third, Jane Crowe and Kris Potterfield
  • Intermediate Doubles: first, Drew and Grant Meisner; second, Dawson and Taylor Wood; third, Roger Lunt and Wayne Harbourn
  • Advanced Doubles: first, Jarret Porter and Jacob Hammock, second, Jamie Nemes and Andrew Vonderheide; third, Jordan Cochrum and Blake Huskey
