Boudreau, QND girls win Macomb Invitational titles as postseason play nears

COLCHESTER, Ill. — The Quincy Notre Dame girls golf team is primed for the postseason.

The Raiders posted a 321 team score Saturday in the Macomb Invitational at Gold Hills Golf Course, repeating as the tournament champion and setting the stage to chase the West Central Conference title Tuesday at Westview Golf Course and a Class 1A regional crown the following week.

Monmouth United was second at 337, followed by Geneseo in third at 362 and Quincy High School in fourth at 389. Macomb was sixth with a 409, Illini West seventh at 414 and West Hancock ninth at 493.

QND’s Belle Boudreau repeated as the individual champion, shooting a 4-over 76, which was one stroke better than her winning score from a year ago. There was a three-way tie for second at 79 between QND’s Natalie Druffel and Monmouth United’s Paige Christianson and Meredth Young.

QND’s Meredith Eversman was fifth with an 82 and the Raiders’ Nancy Scholz was sixth with an 84. Macomb’s Brenlee Tibbitts finished 10th with an 87.

Pittsfield’s Hannah Williams shot an 88. Alexa Mosley led QHS with a 90 and Ashley Walbring posted a 93. Priya Wear shot a 91 for Illini West. The Bombers’ Maris McKee finished with a 96.
