QUINCY — Three Quincy Notre Dame girls basketball teams will be inducted into the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.

The IBCA announced its Class of 2024 honorees on Monday. The induction ceremony will be held May 4 at Illinois State University’s Redbird Arena.

Among the teams being inducted are QND’s 2011, 2012 and 2013 state championship squads.

The 2011 team won the Class 2A title with a 31-1 record after beating Bloomington Central Catholic 75-64 in the championship game. In 2012, the Raiders repeated as the Class 2A champions, going 33-1 with a 62-31 victory over Breese Central in the finals. In 2013, QND was moved up to Class 3A but completed the three-peat by going 30-0 and beating Vernon Hill 62-45 in the championship.

Three coaches with ties to Quincy, the surrounding area or the Western Big 6 Conference are being inducted as well.

Clay Vass, currently the head coach at Illini Bluffs with more than 500 career victories, spent two seasons at Hamilton, guiding the Cardinals to a 26-4 record and a Class A state quarterfinal appearance in 1994.

Marian Catholic coach Mike Taylor has brought his team to the Quincy Shootout in years past and is the brother of former Quincy High School coach Sean Taylor. DeKalb coach Mike Reynolds spent 11 seasons at Galesburg, guiding the Silver Streaks to 218 victories and a Class 3A regional championship.
