Quincy beat Rock Island 40-20 in the first round of the Class 6A playoffs in 2013. The Blue Devils beat the Maroons 43-21 in a Week 4 matchup at Moline’s Browning Field in which QHS quarterback Bradyn Little set the single-game school passing record with 437 yards and six touchdowns. Quincy led that game 29-7 at halftime. Should the Blue Devils win, they will match the 2023 team for most single-season victories in school history with 11. Quincy has won 25 of its last 27 games overall. Moline is riding a six-game win streak, having scored 40 or more points three times in that stretch.

Three of the Bulldogs’ other four victories came against teams that finished with a combined record of 5-25. Hannibal placed four players on the All-North Central Missouri Conference first-team offense and four others on first-team defense. Overall, the Pirates had 19 players earn all-conference honors.

Did you know?: As the top-seeded team in the district, the Cardinals received a first-round bye, which is one of the few things that has keep the offensive juggernaut from scoring. South Shelby averages 44.2 points per game with a balanced attack led by junior quarterback Chase Moellering, who was named the Clarencee Cannon Conference Offensive Player of the Year. The Cardinals have been equally salty defensively with three shutouts and another game with one touchdown allowed. Senior defensive lineman Aadon Magruder was named the CCC Defensive Player of the Year. South Shelby beat Macon 42-21 in their regular-season meeting.
