CAMP POINT, Ill. — The Brown County girls basketball team handed Unity consecutive losses for the first time this season, while Central-Southeastern continued its winning ways as both teams battled their way into the championship game of the CSE Lady Panther Classic.

Brown County, ranked fifth in Class 1A, knocked off second-ranked Unity 47-43 in the first of Thursday night’s semifinals. In the second matchup, Central-Southeastern, ranked ninth in Class 2A, beat Illini West 37-26. The Hornets and Panthers will square off at 7:30 p.m. Saturday for the title.
