CAMP POINT, Ill. — They tossed the football and tackled each other. They wore black and gold to celebrate their favorite team. They asked for autographs afterward. The elementary school kids turned Saturday’s Class 1A state semifinal football game into their own playground.

It’s how it’s meant to be.
