QUINCY — Nick Moore’s high school career can be summed up best by Al Davis’ catchphrase.

Just win baby.

The Camp Point Central senior, who was named a Class 1A second-team all-stater by the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association this week, will graduate with a three-year winning percentage of .787 as the Panthers’ starting shooting guard and the quarterback of the football team.

Toss in a pair of regional titles in basketball, a state runner-finish in football and the undefeated run to the Class 1A state championship on the gridiron last fall and his legacy is complete.

This winter, he led the Panthers to a 25-9 record while averaging 15.5 points, three rebounds, three assists and two steals per game. He was one of 10 players named to the IBCA all-state second team.

Payson Seymour junior guard Blake Schwartz and Unity senior forward Melvin McMillen both received special mention in Class 1A.

In Class 2A, Quincy Notre Dame sophomore guard Jace Allensworth, Macomb senior forward Dion Doyle and West Hancock junior guard Lewis Siegfried each received all-state special mention from the IBCA.
