Adams County Speedway rankings and stats

Adams-County-Speedway

Here is the Muddy River Sports Leaderboard for the second week of June:

Stevie Dirt DIRTY THIRTY rankings

Sport Mods

1. Adam Birck: He’s established himself as the steadiest driver in the series. He leads in both track points and Muddy River Performance Points.

2. Tanner Klingele: There are two sport mod drivers with five or more top-five feature finishes. Birck and Klingele.

3. Shane Paris: What if the Muscatine, Iowa, driver had been able to be at the track all seven weeks?

4. Logan Cumby: He’s one of four drivers with a legitimate chance to win each and every week. The other three are ranked right ahead of him.

5. Dakota Girard: He’s coming on, and he’s coming fast.

6. Reed Wolfmeyer: Same with this guy.

Modifieds

1. Dave Wietholder: Wietholder and Becerra are the first legit rivalry in the new era at 8000 Broadway.

2. Austen Becerra: I think we’ll still be talking about that victory of Becerra’s last Sunday a year from now.

3. Mike Vanderiet Jr.: This guy has been having a nice campaign, he’s simply been lost in the shadow of Wietholder and Becerra.

4. Kenny Wallace: Hopefully, he’ll be back at 8000 Broadway when racing returns June 19.

5. Chris Spalding: If I were a betting man, I would be wagering he finds his way to a checkered flag at some point this season.

6. Vance Wilson: Nice to see B-1 back at the track.

4-Cylinders

1. Jeffrey DeLonjay: He leads in wins, top fives and is tied for the top in top-10 finishes. That adds up to No. 1.

2. Michel Grossman: But in DeLonjay’s rear-view mirror is this guy.

3. Kim Abbott: Have you noticed that No. 71 back near the front of the pack in recent weeks?

4. Jimmy Dutlinger: There’s a victory coming for the DA28 car.

5. Jaden DeLonjay: He might be the hottest 4-Cylinder car on the track in recent weeks.

6. Nick Johnson: Right on his tail in the rankings are Jeremy Reed, Landon Neisen and Derrick DeFord.

Street Stocks

1. Robert Cottom: When racing resumes June 19, Cottom will be trying to build on a streak of 36 consecutive feature laps led.

2. Rudy Zaragoza: If there’s a driver capable of running down Cottom, it just might be Mr. Zaragoza, who has the most feature improvement points among the street stock pilots.

3. Jake Powers: The Snake is runner-up in feature improvement points.

4. Robert Thompson Sr.: Consistency has been No. 3 main issue in recent weeks.

5. Steve Grotz: Grotzy has three top-five showings, but the DNFs have hurt.

6. Sage Martin: She now has four top-10 finishes.

Late Models

1. Denny Woodworth: A track title this season for Denny would be No. 9, tying him with Steve Fraise on the all-time list. Only Mark Burgtorf (16) and Hank DeLonjay (13) have more.

2. Sam Halstead: Superman is the only Iowa hotshoe in the rankings, but I’m pretty sure when racing resumes later this month some more Hawkeyes will be in the pits.

3. Darin Weisinger Jr.: Junior is just 10 points out of second place in track points.

4. Rick Coats: Rick is the only Missouri driver among the crate lates — so far.

5. Braden Bilger: He’s part of the Jacksonville connection that we might be seeing more of as the season develops.

6. Derrick Carlson: Ditto.
