Lineup for 2026 Quincy Shootout brings nation’s brightest hoops stars to Blue Devil Gym
QUINCY — The lineup for the 2026 Quincy Shootout may be the best yet.
Considering the talent that has been on display at Blue Devil Gym since the event’s inception in 2018, that’s a high bar to beat.
Yet, Shootout organizer Eric Stratman has pulled it off.
Not only will five EYBL teams be in attendance — the EYBL is largely considered the best collection of prep basketball teams in the country — but a six-time NBA all-star is bringing his prep school team to Quincy and a school that hasn’t played in Blue Devil Gym in more than 30 years is returning.
The Quincy Shootout will take place Jan. 23-24 with 13 games at Quincy High School’s history Blue Devil Gym and four games at The Pit at Quincy Notre Dame.
Here is a look at the teams in the field, which was released Tuesday:
Baton Rouge Catholic — The Bears won the Louisiana Division I state championship in 2023 and have made 12 consecutive state playoff appearances with four final four appearances in that stretch.
Bella Vista Prep — Based in Phoenix, Bella Vista features two of the top 40 recruits in the Class of 2026, according to 247sports.com, in 5-foot-10 point guard Miles Sadler and 6-foot-6 forward Vaughn Karvala. The Bears also feature Paul Osaruyi, a 6-foot-10 center, who is ranked No. 6 in the Class of 2027.
Chaminade — Another program that has been a Shootout staple and continues to produce top talent, the Red Devils were the Class 6 state runner-up in Missouri last winter, losing to Oak Park, which played in last year’s Quincy Shootout.
Chicago Kenwood — The Broncos won their first city championship last winter, captured a sectional championship and were the No. 1-ranked team in Class 4A during the regular season.

Dynamic Prep — The Dallas-based school is coached by Jermaine O’Neal, a six-time NBA all-star and two-time All-NBA second team selection. Marcus Spears Jr., a 6-foot-8 forward, is ranked No. 3 in the Class of 2027, and Ryan Hampton, a 6-foot-6 forward, is ranked No. 8 nationally among juniors.
East St. Louis — In the past seven seasons under Mark Chambers, the Flyers have won seven regional titles and a Class 3A state championship in 2019. They also finished third at state in 2023. This will be East St. Louis’ first visit to Blue Devil Gym since 1992 when the Blue Devils beat the Flyers 64-37.
Iowa United — The prep school based in Newton, Iowa, features 7-foot-1 center Arafan Diane, who is ranked No. 22 in the Class of 2026, and 6-foot-3 guard Brock Badding, who is receiving D-I and D-II interest.

Principia boys — The reigning Class 3 state champion in Missouri, the Panthers return the Shootout under Hall of Fame coach Jay Blossom with a roster featuring guard Quentin Coleman and 6-foot-9 center Sekou Cisse.
