Thomas, Pirates capture NCMC golf crowns and take good vibes into district tourney

FULTON, Mo. — The Hannibal boys golf team tangled with Tanglewood and won.

The Pirates had five golfers finish in the top 10 individually and posted a 322 team score to win the North Central Missouri Conference championship Tuesday at Tanglewood Golf Course. It marks back-to-back NCMC crowns for the Pirates.

Senior Quinn Thomas won the individual NCMC title with a 76, while Kyle Locke was third with a 78. Jackson Karr finished seventh with an 82, and Kaisen McAfee and Camrin Lake tied for 10th with 86s.

The Pirates tee it up in the postseason next Monday in the Class 4 District 2 tournament at the Golf Club of Wentzville.
