Pirates overwhelm another NCMC opponent with goal-scoring onslaught

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal girls soccer team showcased its dynamic ability to put an opponent on its heels Thursday night.

There isn’t much the rest of the North Central Missouri Conference can do about it.

The Pirates overwhelmed Fulton in an 8-0 victory Thursday night at Veterans Field. The Pirates improved to 4-0 in the NCMC, outscoring those four opponents 25-3.

Overall this season, Hannibal (7-1-1) has scored five or more goals five times and has not been held to fewer than two goals. Ashley Davis, Kegan Greening and Aly Falconer spearheaded the attack against the Hornets with each scoring two goals. Matti Harvey added a goal, and Abbie Martin had a goal and an assist.

Malia Stolte finished with three assists, while Kasey DeStefane and Ella Leven each had an assist. Ava Turner recorded her third shutout of the season in goal.
