HANNIBAL, Mo. — Hannibal fans who made it to the Veterans Sports Complex on Wednesday afternoon were treated to a two-for-two.

Two Pirates teams playing and two victories.

The Hannibal girls soccer team continued its dominance of the North Central Missouri Conference, picking up an 8-0 victory over Kirksville. Malia Stolte scored four goals, Ashley Davis had two goals and two assists and Kegan Greening had a goal and an assist. Ava Turner posted another shutout.

The Pirates are 11-1-2 overall and 6-0 in the NCMC.

Across the complex at the baseball field, Hannibal took advantage of a couple of days of rest ro get back to its winning ways, beating Moberly 8-1 in North Central Missouri Conference action. 

Kane Wilson delivered a two-run single in the bottom of the first inning for the Pirates, while Colton Dryden added a two-run double in the second inning. Dryden earned the victory on the bump, allowing three hits and striking out five.

Hannibal is 10-8 overall and 5-0 in the NCMC.
