HANNIBAL, Mo. — Two of the region’s top high school distance runners set the pace for the 5K race during the 28th annual Hannibal Cannibal, which took place Saturday with the start/finish line in downtown Hannibal.

West Hancock graduate Miles Sheppard finished first in 10 minutes, 12.3 seconds, while Bowling Green’s Ben Chance was second in 10:45. The top female finisher was Liberty’s Arianna Neisen, who ran the race in 12:49.3.

In the 10K race, Zach Holtz took first in 29:23.9, with Jacob Giedinghagen taking second in 32:03.9. Erica Lindsay was the top female finisher, taking third overall in 34:24.6.

In the 15K race, Thomas Cormier was first in 43:33.9 and Kaitlyn was second in 51:36.1.
