HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Quincy High School volleyball team began its week by showing some resiliency it normally doesn’t have to provide.

Hannibal rallied after losing the first two sets Monday night at Korf Gym by winning the third set and pushing the Blue Devils to the brink in the fourth set. Ultimately, Quincy won 25-22, 25-19, 22-25, 28-26, but it took twice as long as normal for the Blue Devils.

Illinois schools play a best-of-three format, while Missouri schools play a best-of-five format. Since Hannibal was the home team, the match was played under Missouri State High School Activities Association guidelines.
