Schuck on a Truck: Hannibal’s Aneyas Williams discusses senior season, future with Fighting Irish
HANNIBAL, Mo. — Come the first weekend of December, when Missouri crowns its high school football state champions and puts a wrap on the fall season, the career of one the most dominant and electrifying athletes this area has ever seen will end as well.
Luckily, all the football Friday nights and playoff games between now and then will give fans the chance to see Aneyas Williams do what he does best.
The Hannibal running back embarks this week on a senior season that will cap a record-setting career. He then will graduate at semester’s end, enroll at the University of Notre Dame in January and begin a college career with a ton of promise.
First, though, is the matter of trying to help the Pirates win a state championship.
Williams recently joined Muddy River Sports Editor Matt Schuckman on the tailgate of his pickup to discuss the upcoming season, what it means to represent Hannibal and taking the next step with the Fighting Irish for this episode of “Schuck on a Truck,” brought to you by Area Distributors.
