LEBANON, Ill. – The Quincy University women’s soccer team took to the road in a GLVC showdown with McKendree University on Friday. Redshirt senior Olivia Kindt tallied a career-high 11 saves in the match, but the Bearcats scored a last-minute goal to sneak away with a 1-0 win over the Hawks.

The Hawks offense was slowed to a halt by the Bearcats as QU was only able to send out five shots with none on goal in the 90 minutes played. Lauren Crane sent out two shots for Quincy. On the defensive side, QU stayed in the game behind a career performance by goalkeeper Olivia Kindt who managed to stop McKendree’s offense for almost 89 minutes. Kindt saved a total of 11 shots from the opposition. The Bearcats won the game after scoring the only goal in the contest with 1:09 minutes on the clock.

Next Game
The Hawks will remain in the St. Louis area on Sunday to face the University of Missouri-St. Louis at noon.
