QUINCY — Two teams that have gone head-to-head in NCAA Division II regional play twice before with try to eliminate each other once again.
The top-seeded Quincy University baseball team and fifth-seeded Northwood both beat Wayne State on Thursday on the opening day of the Midwest Regional at QU Stadium. The Timberwolves scored three times in the top of the ninth inning to rally for a 13-11 victory. Then the Hawks sent the Warriors home with an 18-8 victory in which QU hit seven home runs.
