MACOMB/MOLINE, Ill. — Tayler Onion will join Western Illinois University athletics beginning Monday, July 24 as the assistant athletic director for development.

In a press release, WIU Foundation executive officer Brad Bainter said, “I am excited to welcome Tayler to our alumni and development team. As she grew up with Western, I know she is well aware of the legacy and traditions for both Western and the Leathernecks, and I know she will do a great job working to raise funds for our athletic program as a part of our $100 million campaign.”

Onion received her bachelor’s degree in advertising from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; her master’s degree in recreation, sport and tourism from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; and her doctoral degree in curriculum and instruction from the University of South Florida.
