Heart of America Media Day: Culver-Stockton College

The Heart of America Athletic Conference recently hosted its media day and here are the interviews with the coaches of Culver-Stockton College.

Football

#7 Baker “Wildcats” at Culver-Stockton “Wildcats”

6:00 p.m. / Canton, Mo. / Ellison Poulton Stadium

The Wildcat football team begins its fifth season under Head Coach Tom Sallay with a Heart of America Athletic Conference non-divisional game against Baker University at Ellison Poulton Stadium. The Wildcats are 2-2 in both in season openers and home openers in the Salley era. C-SC defeated Evangel University 34-17 in the season and home opener in 2020. The Wildcats finished the 2020 season 1-3 in a season shortened by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Baker is ranked seventh in the NAIA Top 25 Preseason National Poll. Baker went 6-0 in the shortened 2020 regular season before defeating Olivet Nazarene (Ill.) 59-54 in the first round of the NAIA playoffs. Baker fell to top-ranked Morningside (Iowa) 45-29 in the quarterfinals the next week to finish at 7-1 overall.
