Hawks’ Reis garners all-conference honors for fourth consecutive season

QUINCY — Aubrey Reis cemented his collegiate career with an impressive distinction of receiving All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors for four straight years.

The senior midfielder on the Quincy University men’s soccer team was one of four Hawks to be named to the All-GLVC third team on Friday. Senior forward Cole Hayes, junior midfielder Alsadiq Hasan and sophomore forward Jack Rhead were also honored.

Reis, a Quincy Notre Dame graduate, finished his final season with four goals and three assists as the Hawks went 7-6-3 overall and 5-5-3 in the GLVC. He finished his decorated career with 37 goals and 13 assists.

Reis was a first-team All-GLVC selection in 2018 and the 2021 spring season, while garnering second-team honors in 2019. He also was an All-Midwest Region selection in 2018, the Hawks’ only all-region honoree in the last five seasons.

Hayes, another QND product, was a third-team selection for the second consecutive season. He finished his senior season with seven goals and two assists and capped his career with 14 goals. Hasan also is a repeat third-team selection. He had two goals and three assists.

Rhead led the Hawks with eight goals and an assist.
