QUINCY — Lauren Crane’s productive collegiate career came with a fitting honor to cap it.

Crane, a senior forward on the Quincy University women’s soccer team, received first-team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference honors and was one of two Hawks to receive mention on the all-league teams. Senior defender Paige Anderson was a second-team selection.

It is the third time Crane has received All-GLVC mention, garnering third-team plaudits as a freshman in 2018 and second-team honors last spring as a junior. This fall, Crane led the GLVC with 10 goals scored in conference play and topped QU’s attack with 11 goals total, which ranked 23rd in the nation. She also had four assists.

Her 26 total points was second in the GLVC.

Crane finished her career with 25 goals and 12 assists.

Anderson has been QU’s defensive anchor at center back for the past three seasons, repeating as a second-team all-league selection. She led the Hawks in minutes, playing 1,431 minutes over 16 games and scoring two goals with one assist. Anderson finished with two game-winning goals in her career.
