Hawks’ Bragg earns GLVC Defensive Player of the Week honors

QUINCY — Quincy University redshirt freshman cornerback Kenshawn Bragg was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Week after his play in last Saturday’s 31-28 victory over Missouri S&T in the GLVC opener at QU Stadium. 

The 5-foot-11, 183-pound Bragg recorded eight total tackles with five solo tackles and a half-tackle for loss. He also intercepted his second pass of the season. With less than 10 minutes remaining in Saturday’s game, Bragg broke inside Miners wide receiver Breon Michel, intercepted the pass and returned it 50 yards to put Quincy ahead 31-28. 

Overall this season, Bragg has 12 total tackles.
