QUINCY — Two former Quincy University men’s basketball players who entered the transfer portal have found new homes.

Paul Zilinskas, a 6-foot-6 swingman with two years of eligibility remaining, announced via social media last week he will be joining another Great Lakes Valley Conference program as he plans to sign with the University of Indianapolis.

Meanwhile, Connor Davis, a 6-foot-6 shooting guard with three years of eligibility remaining, became the first commitment for new Culver-Stockton College coach Dorian Hobbs Jr. when he announced his decision Monday.

Zilinskas scored 738 career points and averaged 10 points and 3.4 rebounds over 74 career games. Last winter, he started 25 of 26 games played, averaged 11 points and 4.1 rebounds, and shot 42.3 percent from the field, 32.9 percent from 3-point range and 74.6 percent from the free-throw line.

Zilinskas was a second-team All-GLVC selection last season.

Indianapolis won the GLVC regular-season championship to earn the No. 1 seed in the GLVC Tournament, where the Greyhounds beat the eighth-seeded Hawks 79-77 in double overtime in the first round. UIndy went 26-5 and lost in the first round of the NCAA Midwest Regional.

Davis played in 25 last season, coming off the bench to average 8.4 minutes, 2.9 points and 1.3 rebounds. He made 18 of 45 3-pointers (40 percent) and 8 of 10 free throws. He scored a career-high 12 points in the season opener against Findlay.

Culver-Stockton went 9-18 last season.
