QUINCY — Graham Spraker is about to get some prime-time attention.

The former Quincy University right-handed pitcher has been named an Arizona Fall League all-star and will play in Saturday’s Fall Stars game at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale, Ariz., which is the spring training home of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies.

The game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. first pitch and will be televised live on the MLB Network.

The 26-year-old Spraker has been one of the most dominant relievers in the fall league, pitching 9.1 innings without allowing a run. He’s struck out 14 of the 31 batters he’s faced with two walks and two hits allowed. He’s recorded three saves.

This comes on the strength of a solid 2021 season spent with the New Hampshire Fisher Cats, the Class AA affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. Spraker made 30 appearances for the Fisher Cats, posting a 2.74 ERA in 42.2 innings. He struck out 62 and walked 23.

Spraker also made his Class AAA debut with the Buffalo Bisons, tossing two scoreless innings in his only appearance. He allowed two hits while striking out three and walking none.

A first-team All-Great Lakes Valley Conference selection in 2017 when he led the Hawks to the NCAA Division II World Series, Spraker was a 31st round draft pick of the Blue Jays in 2017.
