Culver-Stockton’s Scott named Heart’s Baseball Player of the Week
CANTON, Mo. — Culver-Stockton College second baseman Jordan Scott has been named the Heart of America Athletic Conference Player of the Week presented by BoxOut for his performance during the week of March 31-April 6, when the Wildcats won three of four games.
Scott, a senior from Imperial, Mo., started four games that week and batted .615 with eight hits in 13 at-bats. Among his eight hits were two doubles and a home run, and he had seven runs batted in. Scott garnered a 1.000 slugging percentage and a .667 on-base percentage for the week. Defensively, Scott handled 15 total chances at second base without committing an error.
For the season, Scott has played 29 of the 30 games this season, registering a .330 batting average with eight doubles, five home runs and 17 runs batted in. He is slugging at a .594 rate and has an on-base percentage of .454.
