CANTON, Mo. – The Culver-Stockton defense stepped up to lead the way in Saturday’s 10-3 win at Ellison Poulton Stadium.

With starting Culver-Stockton quarterback Jace Orndorff out with an elbow injury, the Peru State defense focused on and bottled up Wildcat running back Jordan Grant. Grant still managed to become only the fourth player in C-SC history to rush fore more than 1,000 yards in a season, but he fell 18 yards short of the single season school mark.

Culver-Stockton now waits to see if their 8-3 mark will get them in the NAIA national tournament for the first time in program history.

  • Culver-Stockton finishes with eight victories, the most by a Culver-Stockton team in program history. It breaks the previous mark of seven by the 1969 team which finished 7-1-1.
  • Jordan Grant became the fourth player in school history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season, finishing with 1,053. He fell 18 yards short of single season mark of 1,071.
  • Dalton Huffman, the all-time leading tackle leader, finishes his career with 396 career tackles.
  • C-SC defense did not allow a touchdown over the final nine quarters of the season, dating back to the third quarter of the William Penn Game on Oct. 30th.
