QUINCY — The Quincy University football players are heading back to campus.

The Hawks begin their fall training camp August 5 ahead of the August 28 season opener against Concordia-St. Paul at QU Stadium. This will be the second season in charge for QU coach Jason Killday, who guided the Hawks to a 6-4 record last fall and a 5-3 mark in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Killday joined Muddy River Sports Editor Matt Schuckman on the tailgate of his pickup to discuss the Hawks’ offseason conditioning, the challenges that loom at the start of camp, and Eric Church music for this episode of “Schuck on a Truck,” brought to you by Shottenkirk Toyota.
