Three champions crowned during Gem City Pickleball Classic

QUINCY — Champions in three divisions were crowned during the Gem City Pickleball Classic at Upper Moorman Park on Sept. 25. Each division had six teams, so a round-robin format was used for each team to play five matches.

3.0 (Beginner) Division

1st place: Jason Gibson and Bill Gibson (5-0)
2nd place: Jeffrey Rose and Marlin Jansen (4-1)

3.5 (Intermediate) Division

1st place: Roger Lunt and Randy Uppinghouse (5-0)
2nd place: Steve Wingfield and Lonnie Jones (4-1)

4.0 (Advanced) Division

1st place: Mark Schuering and Jarrett Porter (5-0)
T-2nd: Curtis Fauble and Kathy Fauble (3-2); Ron Amos and Drew Koester (3-2); George Scholz and Michael Neff (3-2)

Curtis and Kathy Fauble received the medal for 2nd place based on the tiebreaker, which was total points scored.
