Quincy Children’s Museum to host charity golf tournament
QUINCY — The Quincy Children’s Museum is hosting its inaugural charity golf classic on Monday, Aug. 22 at Quincy Country Club, 2410 State.
The field will be limited to the first 36 foursomes who register for the scramble format tournament. A tax deductible entry gets participants 18 holes of golf with friends, customers or co-workers. Entrants will participate in closest-to-the-hole on all par 3s with a chance to win one of four vehicles. Long drive contests will be on the front and back nine. Golfers also will have a chance at the Hole-In-One Shootout Challenge, with a prize valued at $1 million.
A box lunch will be provided, with hors d’oeuvres being served during the awards ceremony.
The cost per foursome is $600. Single golfers and twosomes also always welcome. The entry fee is $150 per person.
Sponsorships of all sizes and types are available. For more information about the tournament, contact tournament chair Ted Hommert at ted.hommert@gmail.com
