JWCC Ag Alumni Association will hold golf fundraiser July 8

CAMP POINT, Ill. — John Wood Community College’s Agriculture Alumni Association will host its 24th annual golf outing July 8 at Arrowhead Heights Golf Course. 

Entry fee for the 18-hole, flighted competition with four-person teams is $65 per player or $260 per team. The fee includes two mulligans per person, cart rental, greens fees and a pork chop meal. Teams will have the option to participate in a skins games for an additional charge of $40. There also will be a 50/50 raffle.

Teams will select either a morning or afternoon tee time with a shotgun start. Registration takes place at 7 a.m. with a 7:30 a.m. start for the morning group or noon with a 12:30 p.m. start for the second wave.

Tournament and hole sponsors are welcome to assist with this fundraising activity. Tournament sponsors could provide supplies for meals, goody bags, prizes or naming opportunities. A hole sponsorship is a $100 donation for a sign with company or sponsor logo.

This event is both a social gathering and the primary fundraiser for the association. The funds from the event are used to help support the JWCC agricultural sciences programs such as the Invitational Livestock Judging Contest and Ag Sciences open house. The alumni also provide direct support to students by providing scholarship awards, sponsoring Ag Club events, PAS Team and Livestock Judging Team and Women Changing the Face of Agriculture activities.
