MACOMB, Ill. — Joe Davis can feel the energy building.

Last fall, in Davis’ first season as the Western Illinois University head football coach, the Leathernecks went 4-8 and won the final game of the regular season. It was the catapult into the offseason they needed. Having signed a solid recruiting class and with experience returning, the Leathernecks are expecting bigger things in Davis’ second season at the helm.

Davis recently joined Muddy River Sports Editor Matt Schuckman on the tailgate of his pickup to discuss WIU’s progress and the anticipation for the start of fall camp for this episode of “Schuck on a Truck,” brought to you by Shottenkirk Toyota.
