MACOMB, Ill. — Hunter St. Clair continues to build toward what he hopes will be a memorable senior season playing golf at Quincy High School.

The QHS senior won the Western Illinois Junior championship Friday at Macomb Country Club, posting a round of 3-over 74 to top a field of 18 golfers.

After taking a double bogey on the second hole and a bogey on the third, St. Clair rolled in three birdie putts over his next six holes to make the turn at even par. He played the back nine in 3-over and secured a two-stroke victory over Abingdon’s Alex Foutch.

This is St. Clair’s second victory this month after he won the Gateway PGA Junior Tour event played at Spring Lake Country Club and Quincy Country Club.
