Schuck on a Truck: South Shelby’s Adam Gunterman discusses state quarterfinal victory

SHELBINA, Mo. — Six hours on a school bus was well worth it.

The South Shelby football team traveled to Faucett, Mo., on Saturday for a Class 2 state quarterfinal matchup with Mid-Buchanan, and after scoring the game’s first 20 points, the Cardinals were able to hold onto the lead in what became a 28-26 victory and a state semifinal berth.

South Shelby (11-1) will face Fair Grove (13-0) at 2 p.m. next Saturday at Charles Rash Memorial Field in Shelbina, Mo.
