HANNIBAL, Mo. — It took longer than the Quincy Notre Dame volleyball team is accustomed to, but thee Raiders finished exactly the way they are used to.

With a victory.

The Raiders crossed the Mississippi River on Tuesday night for a showdown with Hannibal at Korf Gym, and the Pirates made it a five-set affair. The nip-and-tuck match ended with QND winning 24-26, 26-24, 25-11, 23-25, 15-5 as the Raiders scored the first six points of the fifth set to finally take control.

The Raiders improved to 21-2 ahead of Thursday’s matchup at The Pit with Illini West, while the Pirates fell to 10-1 ahead of Thursday’s North Central Missouri Conference matchup with Kirksville.
