Pirates shut out Spartans as Tharp nets hat trick in NCMC victory

HANNIBAL, Mo. — The Hannibal boys soccer team is making its second trip across the Mississippi River this season when it plays Quincy High School at Flinn Stadium on Thursday night.

The Pirates got ready by securing another North Central Missouri Conference victory Tuesday night.

Senior midfielder Maddox Tharp scored three goals as the Pirates earned a 5-0 victory over Moberly at the Veterans Sports Complex. Hannibal is 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the NCMC.

Bodie Rollins had a goal and an assist for the Pirates, while Chase Askey scored a goal, Brody Wilson had two assists and Pearson Parker had an assist. Senior goalkeeper Clayton Neisen  and the defense recorded the shutout.
