A look back, a look ahead: Prep football’s Week 1 scores and Week 2 schedule
QUINCY — The opening week of the prep football season is in the books and it’s on to Week 2, which is the precursor to conference play for many teams. Here is a recap of what transpired on the first Friday night of the season and a look ahead to this week’s schedule.

Week 1 Scores
Quincy High School 40, Quincy Notre Dame 12
• QHS quarterback Bradyn Little completes 27 of 35 passes for 364 yards and five touchdowns.
Jefferson City Helias 31, Hannibal 20
• Hannibal running back Mike Ferriera rushes for 129 yards, quarterback Waylon Anders runs for a touchdown and throws for another.
Camp Point Central 69, North Greene 0
• Central running back Elijah Genenbacher rushes for 121 yards and three touchdowns.
Greenfield-Northwestern 6, Brown County 0
• The Hornets turned the ball over in the red zone in the fourth quarter looking for the tying touchdown.
Winchester West Central 50, Unity-Payson 22
• Unity-Payson quarterback Sawyer Allen threw for 174 yards and one touchdown and rushed for two scores.
Triopia 8, Pleasant Hill 6
• Pleasant Hill’s Tyler VanDyne and Brody Dolbeare combine for 121 yards rushing.
Valle Catholic 47, Monroe City 14
Palmyra 42, Hallsville 40
• Palmyra’s Pierce White finishes with three touchdowns and two 2-point conversions, including what proved to be the game-winner in the second overtime,
South Shelby 60, Harrisburg 22
• South Shelby quarterback Chase Moellering rushed for 183 yards and three touchdowns.
Mark Twain 32, Highland 14
• Mark Twain’s Eli Tobin rushed for 92 yards and three touchdowns on 13 carries.
Jacksonville 26, Pittsfield 14
• Pittsfield’s Lane Foster scores two touchdowns, including a 70-yard scoring run.
Macomb 49, Lewistown 8
• Macomb running back Malachi Conley rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns.
Farmington 33, Illini West 0
• Illini West’s Nick Johnson rushed for 68 yards.
Deer Creek-Mackinaw 58, West Hancock 28
• West Hancock wide receiver Nolan Gooding with 112 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
