QUINCY — Jonny Bottorff is gearing up for what should arguably be the best season of his collegiate football career.

The Quincy Notre Dame graduate heads into the 2024 season as the projected starter at center for Northern Arizona. The 6-foot-3, 295-pound Bottorff earned second-team All-Big Sky Conference honors last season after transferring from Missouri Western.

The redshirt junior was named one of four team captains for the upcoming season and will represent Northern Arizona during the Big Sky Conference Kickoff event this weekend in Spokane, Wash.

Bottorff took a break from his summer workout regimen to chat with Muddy River Sports Editor Matt Schuckman to discuss summer preparations, the upcoming season and the possibility of playing football beyond college for this episode of “Schuck on a Truck,” brought to you by Shottenkirk Toyota.
