North Shelby 67, Canton 58: Preston Brewer led the Tigers with 17 points as they fell to 6-14 overall. Robert Uhlmeyer led the Raiders with 19 points.

Girls basketball

At Macomb, Ill.

Illini West 55, Macomb 27: Rylee Reed’s eight first-half points helped power the Chargers to a 24-12 halftime lead as they improved to 27-2. Caydee Kirkham led Illini West with 18 points, while Reed finished with 12.

At Augusta, Ill.

Central-Southeastern 58, West Hancock 28: A 14-2 run in the first quarter gave the Panthers control and a 23-9 third quarter put the game away. Five different Panthers scored between seven and nine points, with Lauren Miller leading the way with nine.

At Canton, Mo.

Canton 72, North Shelby 51: The Tigers rebounded from a five-point loss to Schuyler County with a dominant effort, scoring the game’s first six points and leading by nine after the first quarter. Nariah Clay led Canton with 25 points, and Macie Fisher added 19 points. The Tigers, who have won nine of their last 10 games, are 14-6 overall.

At Student Activity Center, Quincy

Lewis & Clark 79, John Wood Community College 59: Lenlee Klusman scored 32 points as the Trail Blazers fell to 1-5 in the Mid-West Athletic Conference. Mary Penland and Kataya Garrison had 16 points apiece for Lewis & Clark. JWCC is 7-15 overall.
