Hannibal 54, Helias 20: The Pirates made a loud statement in Class 4 by beating the defending state champions. Courtland Watson completed 16 of 24 passes for 332 yards and four touchdowns, while Aneyas Williams scored four times and finished with 87 yards rushing and 188 yards receiving.

Unity-Payson 58, North Greene 0: The Mustangs won Matt Woodworth’s debut as head coach as Cecil Hunt rushed for 204 yards on six carries and they finished with three touchdown runs of 87 or more yards.
At Mount Sterling, Ill.
Brown County 18, Calhoun 12: The Hornets, ranked fourth in Class 1A, got an 86-yard kick return for a touchdown from Cole Behymer to start the second half, a 27-yard touchdown run from Tate Fullerton and a 27-yard TD run from Brodie Woodward to pick up the victory.

Central 30, Calhoun 22: Trailing 22-8 with eight minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, the Panthers scored 22 unanswered points. Isaac Genenbacher scored on a 69-yard touchdown run with 3:24 remaining to give Central the lead.

QND/Quincy Recycle Tournament at Advance Physical Therapy Field
Ladue Horton Watkins 3, Quincy Notre Dame 2: The Raiders trailed 1-0 at halftime, but Tanner Anderson scored on a header off a Brock Evans free kick. Anderson gave the Raiders the lead with another header off a Leo Cann cross. However, the Rams tied the game with 22 minutes remaining and took the lead with eight minutes to play.
Quincy High School 2, Jacksonville 0: The Blue Devils earned the victory in their season opener with two second-half goals. Carter Venvertloh scored off an Evan Altman assist, while Spencer Jenkins scored the second goal off a Venvertloh assist.

At Ellison Poulton Stadium, Canton, Mo.
Culver-Stockton College 2, Missouri Baptist 0: Jody Ellis scored on a penalty kick in the 13th minute and Kirstin Jannin scored off an Ellis assist in the 60th minute as the Wildcats won their season opener.

East Central College 2, John Wood Community College 0: The Trail Blazers fall to 1-1.

Hannibal 9, Kirksville 0: The Pirates took care of business in a dominant way as Emma Haner and Lanie Privett each picked up an 8-0 victory in singles. In doubles play, Haner teamed with Gracie Martin for an 8-0 victory, while Privett and Brynn Burton also scored an 8-0 victory.
