The glimmer in Nick Kramer’s eye shined when he began talking about the situation he will be walking into this weeked.

He’s entering his father’s old neighborhood.

With that comes the understanding of history, tradition and legacy.

Jack Kramer is part of all three when it comes to the Quincy High School boys basketball program, having left his stamp on a program that is more than a century old and has produced an abundance of memorable players, teams and moments.

His son is doing the same at St. Louis University High.

The Jr. Bills will take part in the Quincy Shootout, playing in Saturday night’s marquee game against Quincy High School. It will be the younger Kramer’s first visit to Blue Devil Gym, his first time playing against his dad’s alma mater and the first chance for Quincy fans to see how much he reminds them of the second-leading scorer in Blue Devil history.

Nick Kramer, the SLUH senior guard, joined Muddy River Sports Editor Matt Schuckman to talk about his game, his decision to sign with Saint Louis University and the influence of his father during this week’s Schuck on a Truck Zoom Edition.
