At Mendon, Ill.

Liberty 60, Unity 42: The Eagles got back on track following consecutive losses to end the Macomb-Western Holiday Tournament with a dynamic defensive effort. Breiton Klingele led Liberty with 16 points, while Melvin McMillen led Unity with 12 points.

At Barry, Ill.

Illini West 74, Western 37: Trayton Anders scored a game-high 20 points as the Chargers rolled to the victory. Nolan Deitrich added 13 points for Illini West. Ethan Dixon led Western with 19 points, while Casen Tobias added 18.

At Greenfield, Ill.

Brown County 61, Greenfield-Northwestern 39: Cole Behymer led the Hornets with 16 points.

At Pleasant Plains, Ill.

Pleasant Plains 51, Pittsfield 37: The Cardinals outscored the Saukees 14-4 in the third quarter to break a halftime tie. Nate Scranton led Pittsfield with 14 points.

At Clarksville, Mo.

Clopton Invitational

Monroe City 89, Silex 9: The Panthers sored 36 points in the first quarter and outscored the Owls 25-0 in the second quarter in the opening-round matchup. Joshua Talton led Monroe City with 21 points, while Waylon DeGrave added 13.

Girls Basketball

At Ewing, Mo.

Highland Tournament

Palmyra 57, Clark County 28: The Panthers opened the tournament by outscoring the Indians 17-4 in the first quarter and rolling into Thursday’s semifinals. Taytum White and Clare Williams each scored 14 points for the Panthers.

Scotland County 56, Canton 48: Hannah Feeney scored at the end of the third quarter for a 40-39 lead Scotland County never relinquished. Nariah Clay led Canton with 16 points, while Macie Fisher had 13 points and Kendall Weathers added 11.

Kirksville 66, Highland 30: No leading scorers were provided.
