Quincy High School 46, Galesburg 37: The Blue Devils limited the Silver Streaks to one field goal and four points in the first quarter and no field goals and just three points in the third quarter to come away with a Western Big 6 Conference victory. Galesburg committed 16 turnovers. The Blue Devils pounded the ball inside, getting 16 points from sophomore forward Taylor Fohey and 10 points from senior forward Laci Novosel. The Blue Devils are 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the WB6.
At Liberty, Ill.
Brown County 63, Liberty 11: Katey and Klare Flynn scored 15 points apiece as the Hornets rolled. Brown County led 24-2 after the first quarter.
At Monroe City, Mo.
97th annual Monroe City Tournament
Palmyra 59, Marion County 48: The Panthers took advantage of an 18-point first quarter and held the Mustangs to eight points in the second quarter to build a double-digit advantage by early in the third quarter in the tournament semifinals. Candra King led Palmyra with 21 points, while Claire Williams added 17 points. Delaney Straus led Marion County with 22 points and Madison Stewart had 12 points. The Mustangs were 6 of 18 from the free-throw line.
Mark Twain 48, Paris 26: The Tigers outscored the Coyotes 16-2 in the third quarter to earn a spot in the consolation championship. Autumn Arndt led Mark Twain with 14 points. Taylor Martin added 10.

97th annual Monroe City Tournament
Monroe City 42, Palmyra 39: Fourth-seeded Palmyra’s two-point advantage heading into the fourth quarter evaporated as top-seeded Monroe City held it to just three field goals and advanced to Saturday night’s championship game. Joshua Talton scored five points in the fourth quarter as Monroe City went 5 of 8 from the free-throw line to secure the victory. Talton led Monroe City (4-1) with 12 points and Jaedyn Robertson added 10. Bear Bock led Palmyra (3-2) with 14 points.
South Shelby 70, Marion County 40: The Cardinals led by 17 points at halftime and scored 23 points in the third quarter. Zaiden Wood led South Shelby with 12 points, while Wyatt Goldinger led Marion County with 17 points.
At Beardstown, Ill.
Central 60, Beardstown 45: The Panthers outscored the Tigers 13-4 in the first quarter and never trailed. Dylan Dickhut led Central with 17 points, while Isaac Genenbacher and Breyhar Wiskirchen had 14 points apiece.
