At Voshall Gym, Pittsfield, Ill.
Pittsfield 76, Western 20: The Saukees scored 47 points in the first half, limited the Wildcats to four points in the second quarter and rolled to the season-opening victory. Carter Klatt led Pittsfield with 14 points, while Brennan Tomhave added 13.
Liberty 58, Petersburg PORTA/A-C Central 53: The Eagles made 11 free throws in the fourth quarter and Breiton Klingele made three field goals to hold off the Bluejays. Liberty led 27-18 at halftime. Klingele led the Eagles with 19 points, while Clayton Obert and Cannen Wolf each had 12 points.

At Beardstown, Ill.
Southeastern 58, Unity 27: Suns all-state junior guard Danny Stephens opened the season by scoring 30 points in the victory.

Lady Hornet Classic
At Mount Sterling, Ill.
Brown County 60, Pleasant Hill/Western 31: The Hornets scored 44 points in the first half and led by 27 points at halftime. Klare Flynn scored 16 of her game-high 18 points in the first half for Brown County, while Katey Flynn added 14 points. Rachel McMullen led the Wolves with 14 points.
Unity 65, Beardstown 27: The Mustangs outscored the Tigers 20-3 in the first quarter and cruised to their second victory. Brooklyn Stiefel led Unity with 16 points, while Kyra Carothers added 13 points.
At Augusta, Ill.
Central-Southeastern 49, Winchester West Central 30: The Panthers held the Cougars to six points in the first quarter and six points in the second half. Brilyn Lantz led CSE with 11 points, while Summer Ramsey added 10 points.
At Moberly, Mo.
Moberly 61, Monroe City 26: The Panthers made just two field goals in the first half and fell in their season opener. Audri Youngblood and Mackenzie Moss led Monroe City with five points apiece.
