Fall registrations for soccer, volleyball and football leagues are open at YMCA
QUINCY — Fall sports registrations for soccer, volleyball and football leagues are open at the Quincy Family YMCA.
The YMCA uses youth sports to teach leadership to the next generation of leaders in our community. Through teaching, coaching and mentoring, children will receive instruction in the fundamentals of a sport. Sportsmanship, teamwork and competition are the major learning objectives of all YMCA sports
Registrations available are:
YMCA Youth Football Camp: This camp will run from 5-7 p.m. Aug. 2-4 and is an instructional camp for youths in grades 1-8. The camp will be instructed by former college level football players and will include six hours of football instruction, an end of camp party, a complimentary one-week family pass to the Quincy Family YMCA and a take-home keepsake for each camper. The registration fee is $25/$35.
Youth Flag Football League: The league will run from Sept. 20-Oct. 27 and includes an age 3-5 Pee Wee division and division for grades 1-8. Cost is $55/$65 with registration due by Aug. 20.
Youth Volleyball: The season will run from Aug. 20-Sept. 24 at the Quincy YMCA. Games will be held on Saturday afternoons beginning at 1 p.m. to allow participation in QSL soccer concurrently. The season will include a practice night at the Quincy YMCA or other suitable location. Registration fee is $40/$55.
Quinssippi Soccer League: The league will run from Aug. 27-Nov. 5 and will consist of 10 Saturday morning games and a practice night, all at the Paul Dennis Soccer Complex in Quincy. The league is open to children in grades K-8. The fee is $80 with registration closing Aug. 5.
Adult Volleyball League: This league will run Sept. 19-Nov. 7 and offer women’s competitive (Monday nights), women’s recreational (Tuesday nights) and co-ed competitive (Wednesday nights) competition levels. Cost is $200 per team with a maximum roster size of eight players. Registrations are due by Sept. 5. The league is limited to 12 teams per night.
All youth leagues will include a practice night at the YMCA or suitable location. The YMCA works diligently to ensure every child who has a desire to participate in our programs is given that chance-contact the YMCA front desk for scholarship opportunities.
